ALMUKHAMMET TUYMUKHAMMETOV – FOUNDER OF THE VILLAGE OF ALMETEVO NADYROV LAND VOLOST

The article examines the question of the founder of the village of Almetyevo (now the city of Almetyevsk in the Republic of Tatarstan). The outstanding tatar scientist Rizaetdin Fakhretdin considered Almuhammet Tuimukhametov to be the founder of the village. However, an attempt was made to question his point of view on the grounds that a tatar of the bashkir class from the Baylyar land volost could not have founded this village, since it arose on the land of the Nadyrov volost. Such reasoning shows ignorance of the subject of research. There are many examples when people from some land volosts founded villages bearing their names on the territory of other land volosts, but the village of Almetevo arose before the appearance of Nadyr Urazmetev and the formation of the Nadyrov volost.
