The article is devoted to the analysis of specific aspects of translating literary works, focusing on the necessity of applying various translation strategies for the adequate conveyance of the original text's content. The main attention is given to the techniques of addition and simplification, which assist the translator in revealing the implied meaning and adapting the text considering the cultural differences between the source and target languages. The importance of interpreting expressive means to preserve the emotional and aesthetic impact of the literary work is emphasized. The authors of the article view literary text as a means of intercultural communication, highlighting its role in shaping the artistic image and achieving aesthetic impact.
