PRODUCTIVE WAYS OF WORD FORMATION ON THE BASIS OF BORROWINGS IN THE MODERN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

In the article productive ways of word formation in Russian language at the turn of XX-XXI centuries on the basis of borrowed lexicon are considered on the material of media texts. It is noted that the majority of neologisms nowadays come from English. It is shown that suffixation and postfixation are particularly active in the formation of neologisms-verbs. Compounding reveals productivity in the creation of nouns. It is concluded that at present the borrowed lexicon has a high word-forming potential.
