POSITIVE EVALUATIVE INTERPRETATION OF ARTISTS’ WORK IN ENGLISH-LANGUAGE ART CRITICISM DISCOURSE

The purpose of the study is to determine how the reality of fine art interacts with language structures within the scientific style texts. The semantic features of the lexical layer of the positive evaluation of the visual image in the English-language art critical text are determined, a pragmatic analysis of the fragments of reviewed critical comments are carried out. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that the properties of the work of art and its creator, highly appreciated by critics (value guidelines), are determined, and a detailed analysis of various ways of presenting positive evaluation in the language of art critics is also proposed. As a result, the main means of verbal modeling of a positive evaluation interpretation of a work of fine art as a visual artifact were identified. The results showed a diversification of the implementation of the positive nature of the evaluation of various categories. The development of the positive attitude of the recipient to the works of art is formed by attracting certain linguistic means within expert analysis.
