this article analyzes the aspects of family education in Russia during the XVIII and XXI centuries, as well as their features. The article describes the evolution of the institution of family education in Russia of the XVIII-XIX centuries in the theoretical and pedagogical aspect. In the modern family sphere, there are a number of problems leading to a family crisis, childlessness, divorce, single-parent families, which causes the process of upbringing in the family to suffer. This forces us to look for mechanisms to improve the effectiveness of the functioning of the family institution by reviving and preserving the spiritual and moral traditions of family relations and family education.
