The article discusses the development of a methodology for diagnosing skills that influence the development of written speech in preschool children. The relevance of this topic is due to the fact that the stage of formation of written speech skills is one of the key ones in the process of general development of the child. The developed methodology allows for a comprehensive approach, which allows assessing not only the current level of formation of skills, but also identifying reserves for further development.
