ANALYSIS OF THE CURRENT STATE OF MUSIC EDUCATION IN RUSSIAN PRIMARY SCHOOL

The purpose of this article is to identify the features of the functioning of modern music education in Russian primary schools. The author defines a list of the main leading methods and techniques of working with children in music lessons, evaluates the process of introducing advanced educational technologies into the course of teaching music to younger students. In addition, the work reflects the typical shortcomings and problems that teachers of the considered academic discipline face. Based on the analysis of the substantive side of the educational process on the subject, as well as the didactic side of teaching music to younger students, the work offers a list of recommendations aimed at improving the process of music education in Russian primary schools by expanding the methods and forms of work used by teachers in the classroom, as well as the introduced educational technologies that demonstrate their effectiveness.
