PHYSICAL CULTURE IN THE FORMATION OF CULTURAL COMPETENCES IN STUDENTS OF RAILWAY UNIVERSITY

The results of the study allowed us to propose a structural and functional model of professional physical competence of students as a combination of knowledge, skills, abilities and physical qualities that ensure successful performance of social and educational and professional activities. The structure of the formation of competencies in the process of physical education allowed us to conduct monitoring studies of the level of their development among students of a transport university. An insufficient level of development of professional physical competence of students was revealed, expressed in a low level of physical education knowledge, skills and professionally important physical qualities, which confirms the relevance of the presented study. The results obtained indicate the need to search for more effective pedagogical learning conditions when studying the discipline "Physical Education and Sports".
