COMPOSITIONAL AND SPEECH FEATURES OF THE GERMAN TEXT GENRE “REGULATION ON HABILITATION”

The aim of the article is to study the linguistic and compositional specifics of the genre of German academic discourse “Regulations on Habilitation”. Based on a target sample of regulatory documents developed in a number of leading German universities, the socio-cultural, compositional and linguistic features of the genre under consideration are analyzed in relation to the fields of technical, humanitarian and medical sciences. The interpretation of the empirical material allowed us to come to the conclusion about the existence of a special terminology system associated with the nomination of the stages of the habilitation procedure, its participants and results. In terms of the characteristics of the syntax of the document under consideration, such communicatively pragmatically relevant dominants as inversion, violation of the frame construction, extended attribute, enumeration of homogeneous subordinate clauses were identified.
