The article is devoted to the problem of using immersive teaching tools at the university, which are the basis of safe visualization for the experimental work of students. The research goal is to identify the main pedagogical conditions and possibilities of introducing immersive means (virtual, augmented reality and immersive simulators) for teaching chemistry to university students.
The research objectives are to examine the pedagogical conditions of teaching chemistry at the university using immersive means that allow creating the effect of full or partial presence; identifying the features of each technology and scientifically generalizing the results obtained.
The methodology of the research is based on a systematic approach and includes a number of general scientific methods (analysis, synthesis, comparison, formal logical method), as well as special methods: historiographic analysis of the scientific discourse of the topic under study, descriptive analysis, systematization of the results obtained. Based on the results of the study, the author came to the following conclusions: for the successful implementation of immersive education in the field of chemistry, universities need to provide highly qualified teaching staff with the necessary immersive equipment, as well as to promote the implementation of the concept of individualized learning.
