This paper examines the development of mass tourism in the Krasnodar Territory in the post-war years. Based on archival documents, most of which were first introduced into scientific circulation, the main tasks and activities of the Krasnodar Tourist and Excursion Department are shown. The importance and useful experience of cultural and mass work was noted, the goals of which were education, patriotic education, the formation of such socially important personality qualities as camaraderie, collectivism, friendship and mutual assistance.
