THE HISTORY OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF ADDITIONAL EDUCATION IN RUSSIA.

The article examines the history of the development of additional education in Russia, starting from the pre-revolutionary period and ending with modern trends. Special attention is paid to the key stages that have determined the evolution of the additional education system in the country. At the beginning of the 20th century, additional education became part of the social movement for enlightenment, which contributed to the creation of the first evening schools and courses. After the revolution of 1917, there were significant changes in educational policy aimed at accessibility and mass education. In the 1990s, with the transition to a market economy, there was a growing interest in additional education as a means of increasing competitiveness in the labor market. The current stage is characterized by the introduction of digital technologies and a variety of learning formats, such as online courses and trainings. In addition, there is a growing interest in interdisciplinary programs that combine different fields of knowledge. In the modern period, the focus is shifting to the digitalization of education, which makes it more accessible and flexible. The article highlights the importance of additional education as a means of personal and professional growth, as well as its role in adapting citizens to the rapidly changing living and working conditions in the 21st century.
