Stages for formation of market mechanisms in Russia at the end of the XX century

This article examines the mechanisms of the formation of a market economy in Russia at the end of the 20th century. The main objectives and draft laws on the introduction and implementation of market mechanisms have been analyzed. The consequences of economic transformations are considered. The article concluded that, given the chaotic nature of decision-making in reforming the country's economic system, it often led to destructive consequences for the social and economic sphere.
