The article is dedicated to the history of the women’s education in Russia. It deals with the peculiarities of teaching and training in the woman’s gymnasiums at the end of the 19th and in the beginning of the 20th centuries. The author of the article analyzes the educational process in these educational institutions as the system which contributes to forming of the comprehensively advanced person.
