The purpose of this article: - to share their own experience in the field of pedagogical activity, spend a little comparative analysis of many years of research and practical work. Currently, an increasing number of university graduates in the course of their professional activities cooperating with foreign companies and enterprises, and communicate in a foreign language, both orally and in writing. Free communication in a foreign language requires an understanding of the topic of conversation, statements of fact; and, as a matter of course, the knowledge of vocabulary and grammatical rules of the language. None of the translation is impossible without the possession of vocabulary and grammar as a whole. Methods: Diagnosis and monitoring of skills transfer to the classroom for foreign language in not language high school. Results: The authors determined the insufficient level of skills in the translation of foreign language texts by first-year students, associated with the lack of formed grammatical competence. Conclusion: Formation of the grammatical competence of students is fundamental to learning translation of texts in the specialty. The expediency of systematizing grammatical knowledge is due to the specificity of training in not language high school, where it is necessary in a short period to form students with different levels of language training ability to translate texts of a professional orientation with very complex grammatical structure.
