The article is devoted to the study of the methodological foundations for the use of distance learning technologies in working with foreign students. The authors indicated the relevance and significance of the research topic. The study analyzes various active, intensive and integrative methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language, their various modifications, clarifies their advantages and disadvantages as a component of the instrumental and methodological model of teaching, argues the resource support for each of them.
The thesis is argued that in search of an actual instrumental and methodological model of teaching Russian as a foreign language, it is necessary to involve (form and create potential for development) the general motive of the personality of a foreign student, as a subject of educational activity - cognitive interest.
The authors come to the conclusion that the audiovisual method should be used as a methodological basis for the use of distance learning technologies in working with foreign students.
