The article examines the problems and prospects of the development of the education system for children with disabilities in the Tula region, describes the specifics of the participation of the professional community in the development of the system of correctional and developmental education, presents the experience of organizing and conducting scientific and practical activities on this issue on the basis of the State Educational Institution of The research presented in the article was conducted in preparation for the All-Russian scientific and practical conference "Modern trends in the education of children with disabilities at the level of preschool and primary general education" (grant from the Government of the Tula region in the field of science and technology (contract No. DS/280 dated 10/25/2021).
