the system of complex corrective-developing work aimed at the formation of prerequisites for the reading and writing teaching of the children with mental retardation was tested at preschool educational institutions. The specially elaborated system of complex corrective-developing work was embeded in practice of a preschool institution and adapted to conditions of a real educational process.
The core of this system of work was made by complex music and play activities. Being the form of organization of the corrective-educational work, these activities were aimed at the formation of the base and specific prerequisites of reading and writing of the senior preschool age children with mental retardation.
The article is devoted to the music and play activities as a part of the specially elaborated system of complex corrective-developing work on the preparation of the preschool age children with mental retardation for the reading and writing teaching at a preschool educational institution.
