The labor and life concept of the Chinese is leaving its imprint on vocational training. Chinese students adopt professional experience in order to further develop and improve skills in various fields. The experience of getting an education in Russia plays a special role for Chinese students. In this regard, it is necessary to identify general trends in teaching methods and didactics. This article is about identifying trends in the process of teaching fine arts in order to further adapt educational and methodological complexes. The purpose of the survey in this study is to identify the features of teaching art history disciplines to foreign students at universities in Russia and China. The article shows the process of conducting a survey and gives its results
