TEACHER AS A SOFT POWER INSTRUMENT IN PATRIOTIC EDUCATION OF YOUTH

The article reveals the issue of the implementation of patriotic education of youth by a teacher. The authors emphasize that it is impossible not to teach patriotism, nor to force it to be a patriot, this activity is most effective when carried out by "soft power". The article differentiates the concepts of "teacher" and "mentor", the authors draw attention to the fact, that it is the mentor who is able to foster a true sense of patriotism among young people. The results of a survey of university students about the role of teachers in their lives are presented.
