The article is devoted to the consideration of methodological approaches that should be included in the study of formation of readiness for professional activity in future defectologists through professional trials. The article substantiates the relevance of this problem due to the importance of training highly qualified defectologists who are able to provide effective psychological and pedagogical assistance to persons with disabilities. One of the promising means of formation of readiness for professional activity in future defectologists is considered professional auditions. As methodological bases of the study of formation of readiness to professional activity of future defectologists through professional trials the competence, activity, personality-oriented and contextual approaches are proposed. Each of these approaches is revealed from the point of view of its specificity and possibilities in the study of this process.
