"THE WOMEN'S QUESTION" IN THE JOURNALISM OF N.S. LESKOV IN THE 1860-1890S: ASPECTS OF DISCLOSURE OF THE PROBLEM AND THE WRITER'S VIEWS ON THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN SOCIAL AND FAMILY LIFE

This article examines the current research problems of N.S.Leskov's views as a publicist on the topic of the women's issue and women's emancipation, which became controversial in the press of the early 60s of the 19th century. N.S. Leskov's interpretation of the concept of the «women's issue» is considered through the prism of nihilism, in which the writer and publicist sees the solution to this issue in «life without theories». The article attempts to present the transformation of the author's vision of the role of women in the family and society.
